Retro Bazaar

I had once went to a garage sale and was dead disappointed. That poor experience lessen my interest in going to garage sales until a friend of mine, Opank, told me that his cafe held such event which profit later on will be donated for charity. The event was held in Matchboxtoo from 11am to 11pm only on the 25th March.

I went there with my photographer friend, Lukas. I love his oxford shoes, A LOT!

Pardon me for wearing such unfashionable pants for I was in a lazy mode and rush so I just pick the ones on the top of the rack and flew straight to the venue.

Everything turned out very well. I was amazed by how naughty my hands were, trying all of those stuff, wanting to buy everything I touched. It sure was a guilty pleasure.

The male pieces were not bad as well. In fact, they sell great items with great prices!

If you have any information on any garage sale, please do tell me. Merci beaucoup!

Oh, by the way, we were featured in Jawa Pos (26th March 2012) and here's an article about us :

Momentum

Earlier this morning I was having a physics test. It was on fluids, but then the thought on momentum came across. Theoretically, momentum is the quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity. Some interpret momentum as the timing of a significant change. For me, in fashion, momentum is knowing the right thing to wear, at the right time, in the right place, with the right person.

This shot reflects momentum the most for it needed the photographer's timing skill to capture my move. It sure looks simple, but I had to redo it over and over again.

I matched my tight Topshop leather pants with a loose snake skin print Mango top in order to create the balance between the two. The accessories were the star of the look, gold details sure caught the viewer's attention. Too bad these pictures are only available in black-white version.

Spectacle Premiere

Last night was my friend's birthday party and she lifted the theme "Spectacle Premiere". I came with a friend of mine and took this picture.

Don't you just love the cupcake? I don't feel like harming the flower though.

I was wearing a Greek accentuated one shoulder top by Guess paired with my tailored asymmetric skirt. A pinch of red is always good and I chose my homemade snake skin clutch to complete the look.

Rachel Zoe Lookbook : Natural Wonder

Too bad the images are locked and here's the only one that I could download.

As you all know, I am very interested in cinemagraph or moving images. It brings the collection into a whole another level as it supports our vision on the clothing.

If you've kept up with my blog from the very beginning, you'll find that this is my second post on moving images. The previous one was on Givenchy, you can check on it here. Check out more of Rachel Zoe's lookbook images here .

Enjoy the little show people!

Chanel has been the symbol of quintessential and elegance since the day the house is built. The little black jacket is a masterpiece from the one and only Coco Chanel then reinvented by Chanel's current head, Karl Lagerfeld.

In this book, which will make its debut this fall, more than 100 celebrities will be pictured wearing the jacket in their own ways.

Spring 2012 Style Guide

It's only two days away from Spring, are you ready to be seen? Here are some Spring 2012 Trend according to the experts :

1. Black and White
It seems like designers are going back to basic colors this season. The color black and white never get old and will survive all year long. Even though the color is safe, it doesn't mean that the designs are safe. Accents and signatures shall pop as the color toned down.

2. Pastel Colors
For the past few months pastel colored clothes have been filling my favorite shops, especially mint green. Seems like my mint green trend alert is right.

3. Floral Prints
It won't be spring without flowers and here goes the floral prints.

4. Asymmetries Cuttings
From one-shoulder tops to one-shoulder dresses to asymmetric skirts and dresses. Seems that the designers just can't get enough of this fabulous cutting.

5. Summer Suits
As much as we love Summer and thank GOD that I live in a tropical country, summer suits and short suits is totally perfect for this season's trend.

6. Pencil skirt
If you're a petite type of person, I personally suggest you not to wear one cause it will crop your height. On the other hand it will make you look slimmer somehow, so it's your choice. Save the height or save the size?

7. Peplums
I haven't been all over the world, but I've seen peplums everywhere. Trust me, when I say everywhere, it means everywhere.

8. Lace dress
Lace is a little bit tricky fabric to use. I once thought of using lace as the main fabric for my birthday dress, but I didn't find a way to make it look modern and young. Accents might be the key.

9. Ankle-Strap
New to heels? Buy ankle-strap sandals now! They are a mixture of safety, comfort, and style. These babies need to come to momma'!

10. Lucite heels
To be frank enough, I am so not a fan of lucite heels. It just doesn't last long enough as an item. The anxiety of having scratches bothers me way too much. But remember, fashion needs sacrifice and this fashion item is worth the fight!

There goes the top 10 Spring 2012 Style Guide, be gorgeous and spring the fashion in you!

The One That Got Away

"So I don't have to say you were the one that got away.. The one that got away.."

A few days ago a friend of mine chat me via BlackBerry Messenger and asked me about this new blog. After giving his brief comments, he asked me why I created another fashion blog. To be honest, this is my second fashion blog and I quit on my previous one because of the hectic school hour and I didn't have the time to blog.

But trust me, this time I won't get away from you since this blog is my baby. I hope you won't got away either.

Swept Away

Swept Away - A beautiful spread of amazing beach view in Vogue Japan's April issue is definitely a teaser. I was supposed to study for my upcoming exam, but this blue toned photographs caught my eye and had successfully made me procrastinate.

Jourdan Dunn and Daria Strokous pulled off the Versace, Emilio Pucci, and Marc Jacobs outfit as they bond with their surroundings. The amazing shots were taken by the famous photographer, Josh Olins. It sure is a masterpiece when the right photographer meets the right object.

Givenchy Spring / Summer 2012 Collection

I've known this type of moving fashion pictures since a few months ago and they brought my thoughts along with them. The moment I was scrolling through my tumblr dashboard and saw these picturesque images, I immediately felt it was meant to be posted as soon as possible!

Givenchy and I doesn't really have that sort of love addiction chemistry, but this season's collection sure was something. Studs have been one of the love of my fashion life and this season is filled with amazing studs details.

Nose rings were being well-known from India and it seems that Givenchy is taking a piece from India to his collection. The color was dominated with basics such as black, white, grey, and silver, and I found them not even close to boring.

Braver Givenchy!

The Birthday ♥

You've seen one of the presweet shots, and here's a peak of my sweet seventeenth birthday bash.

It sure was a night to remember and I wish it would never end. The night filled with good food, good entertainers, good music, amazing company, bubbling snow, and fabulous fashion. I am glad that everyone enjoyed the party as much as I did and it sure wasn't a party of my own. It was my night, but it was the party for all of the invitations to have fun.
The mingle session was so much fun. I get to be a part of the crowd, not only the VIP audience of the whole show. I got to see my friend's dresses, listen to their comments, and share laughter with them.

Here's the twist of my party. During the disco time I hired a group of professional dancers to lead the crowd and pimp up the room into a massive flash mob floor. My dancing friends were going all confident taking turns leading the moves. If only my DJ hadn't been chased by the other show he's doing, I bet the party won't stop until the sun rise up. Girl just wanna have fun!

The Hunger Games Premiere

The Hunger Games is a science-fiction action drama film which is due to be released on 23rd March 2012. It is a story about a competition between boys and girls from each district in North America and they were tested on their survival skill. The winner is the last standing contestant and will receive enough supply of food and shall not worry about anything ever again. The game was made in order to remind them about their rebellion 70 years back.

This movie features Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and of course the unforgettable eye candy, Liam Hemsworth.

The movie premiere was held on Monday night (12/03/2012) and the red carpet was lavished with amazing stylish celebrities. Here are my favorite red carpet looks.
Left to Right : Josh Hutcherson - Jennifer Lawrence - Liam Hemsworth

Jennifer Lawrence in Prabal Gurung & Jimmy Choo

Left - Right : Kendall & Kylie Jenner

To be frank enough, I have this love-hate relationship with Miley Cyrus' red carpet look this time. Guess her best accessories is her man and he does compliment her best after the unique ring.
